    Sriracha aioli ingredients.

    Ingredients

All you need to make sriracha aioli is mayonnaise, garlic, pepper and sriracha. You can make homemade mayo, or you can use your favorite brand from the store.

Sriracha is a spicy chili sauce, but you can replace it with any other chili sauce if you wish.

    Instructions

First, grate or finely chop the garlic clove. In a bowl, combine the garlic with mayonnaise, sriracha and fresh black pepper. Stir to combine. Optionally, add more pepper or sriracha to taste.

Serve the sriracha aioli immediately, or keep it refrigerated until serving.

    Top tips

Here is my best advice to make the perfect sriracha aioli:

    • Make sure to chop the garlic into very fine pieces. You definitely don't want to bite into a big chunk of raw garlic!
    • Use a good quality mayonnaise that you like. You can use low fat mayo if you prefer.
    • You can also make this dip by simply combining store bought aioli and sriracha.

    Serving suggestions

This chili aioli is served as a dip as a snack, appetizer or side dish. You can serve it with a variety of dishes, but here are some of my favorites:

Potatoes: Air fryer potatoes, air fryer potato wedges, honey roasted potatoes, oven baked sweet potato fries.

Meatballs: Beef and pork meatballs, air fryer meatballs, baked turkey meatballs.

Chicken: Air fryer breaded chicken, air fryer buffalo chicken legs, chicken spedini, lemon pepper chicken breast.

    Variations

If sriracha aioli isn't your thing, or you want to try something different, I highly recommend any of these variations:

    • Roasted garlic aioli - Use roasted garlic
    • Pesto aioli - Combine pesto and aioli
    • Lime aioli - Add some lime juice
    • Salsa aioli - With some tasty salsa
    • Bacon aioli - With crispy bacon pieces
    • Vegan aioli - Use vegan mayonnaise.

    Leftovers

Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container in a refrigerator for up to 4 days. Give it a thorough stir before serving, to make sure it doesn't separate.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is aioli just mayonnaise?

Although they are originally two different things, the modern aioli is often just mayonnaise flavored with garlic.

How can you make spicy aioli?

Aioli can be made spicy by adding chili. You can use diced fresh chili, chili powder or chili sauce.
