Let's be real, most salads are way better when they are served with a tasty dressing. I have shared some of my personal favorites, like my easy pesto vinaigrette. I also sometimes like to use a dip on the side instead of a dressing, like my healthy homemade ranch dip or roasted red pepper hummus.
But this dressing isn't just any dressing. This is probably my favorite, and you can find it in my fridge at all times. It's just so versatile and so easy, and you can literally use it with any of your favorite salads.
I like to make a big batch of lemon pepper vinaigrette and keep it in a jar in the fridge. This way I have a decent vinaigrette ready to go for any salad that I make. It's a great alternative to buying storebought vinaigrettes, who often have added sugar and preservatives.
🥘 Ingredients
All you need to make the best lemon pepper vinaigrette is 3 ingredients; extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and black pepper.
You can use bottled lemon juice, or squeeze a fresh lemon. You should also use the highest quality olive oil you have available, as it greatly improves the flavor of the dressing. Don't worry though, I have also made this recipe with really cheap olive oil and bottled lemon juice - it's still good!
🔪 Instructions
Step 1: Add 6 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoon lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper to a small jar or bowl. Shake or whisk the ingredients for a few seconds to combine them.
The lemon pepper vinaigrette is now ready to serve!
