Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon olive oil

  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add 6 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoon lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper to a small jar or bowl. Shake or whisk the ingredients for a few seconds to combine them.

Notes

Can I freeze vinaigrette? – Yes! If you want to, you can freeze this salad dressing for up to 6 months. Thaw it in the fridge, and stir to combine the ingredients before using the vinaigrette.

Leftovers

This salad dressing stores incredibly well! Store it in an airtight dressing container or jar in a refridgerator for up to 3 weeks, and use it in your favorite meals or salads.
Over time, the pepper, lemon juice and olive oil tend to separate in the container. Make sure to give it a shake or a stir to combine the ingredients again before using it in any dishes.

Top tips

Here are my top tips on making the perfect lemon pepper vinaigrette:
  • Vinaigrettes are generally very easy to make. You need 3 parts olive oil, and 1 parts of an acidic ingredient, such as lemon juice or vinegar, plus any herbs or spices. Keep this rule in mind if you want to multiply the recipe.
  • If you want to change it up, you can add any extra herbs or spices. Try adding some finely chopped parsley or red chili flakes.
