    These cilantro lime chicken breasts are the perfect lean protein main for a healthy and easy weeknight dinner. Chicken breasts are marinated, and cooked to perfection before serving.

    🥘 Ingredients

    For this recipe you will need fresh cilantro (UK: coriander), chicken breast fillets and limes. You will also need some salt and pepper to season the chicken.

    🔪 Instructions

    Add chicken breast fillets to a ziploc bag along with finely chopped fresh cilantro, the juice from a lime and a pinch of salt and pepper. Leave it to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 12 hours.

    Heat some vegetable oil, cooking spray or butter in a frying pan on medium heat. Pan fry the chicken fillets until they are golden on one side, then flip and cook on the other side. Leave it on medium heat until the chicken has cooked through completely.

    Here is how you can get this recipe perfect:

    • Make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly. It is ready to serve when it has reached an internal temperature of 65°F/75°C.
    • Leave the chicken to marinade for between 30 minutes and 12 hours. The longer it marinades, the more flavor it will have.
