Radish is such an underrated root vegetable. After roasting, it has a mild and subtle flavor, which means that it pairs perfectly with a variety of main courses. You can also add roasted radishes to salads, or prepare them in an air fryer for a quick and easy snack.
🥘 Ingredients
To make the best roasted radishes, you will need fresh radishes, some vegetable oil or other cooking oil, and a pinch of salt.
If you wish, you can also add other seasoning to the radishes. Try adding some parmesan, garlic powder or Italian seasoning if you wish to experiment.
Additionally, you will need an air fryer. If you don't have one, you can also roast radishes in the oven.
🔪 Instructions
Clean the radishes, and remove the stems. Cut them in halves, and coat with a thin layer of vegetable oil and some salt.
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C/356°F. Add the radishes to the frying basket, and air fry for about 10-12 minutes. Shake every 4 minutes to ensure that the radishes cook evenly.
💭 Top tips
Here is how you can get this recipe perfect:
- Make sure not to overcrown the air fryer basket. If you're making a large amount, you might have to roast the radishes in multiple batches.
- I typically make my radishes with a sprinkle of salt, but feel free to add any seasoning you'd like.
🥗 Serving suggestions
You can serve roasted radishes as a side dish with your favorite main courses. Here are some of my favorite options:
🍲 Leftovers
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. They do tend to soften over time, but they still taste increadibly well.
I would not recommend freezing them as they could become mushy after thawing. However, air fryer radishes are so tasty I doubt you will end up with any leftovers at all.
