Top tips
Here is my best advice to make the perfect apple nachos:
- If you’re really craving something sweet, try dipping the apple slices in melted chocolate first. Alternatively, drizzle the apple slices with caramel sauce. You can thank me later.
- If your peanut butter is more of a thick spread than runny, you can add some peanut oil to thin it out. It has to be quite liquid-y for you to be able to actually drizzle it on top.
Leftovers
As sliced apples tend to turn brown quick, I suggest eating the apple nachos immediately after preparation. You can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 6 hours.
If you happen to have leftovers, the apple slices might get discolored fast, but they will still be edible. Use them as filling for apple cake, apple pie or oatmeal.
