Instant Pot Asparagus

- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 cup water
Add water to the instant pot.
Place a steaming basket or trivet in the pot.
Cut off any tough ends of the asparagus, then place them on the trivet.
Secure the lid, and turn the valve to sealing. Set the instant pot to MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK on high pressure, and set the timer to 0 minutes.
With a 0-minute cook time, the instant pot will notify you and turn itself off as soon as it reaches pressure. Turn the valve to quickly release the pressure from the pressure cooker.
Immediately remove the asparagus from the instant pot. Season to taste, or add any toppings, and serve.
- Store leftovers in a sealed container in a refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Optionally, top your asparagus with garlic powder, salt and pepper, lemon juice, Parmesan or diced almonds.
