Ingredients

Instructions

  • Pre heat your air fryer to 355 °F / 180 °C. Depending on the make and model of your air fryer, it usually takes 3-5 minutes to heat up.
  • Meanwhile, you can optionally dice the mushrooms into similar sized pieces. I like to cut them in half, but you can keep them whole if you want.
  • Place the mushrooms in a bowl, and add the olive oil, salt and pepper. Stir to coat the mushrooms evenly.
  • Add the mushrooms to the air fryer in a single layer, without much overlap and without overflowing the basket. Air fry for 5-10 minutes. Shake the basket once or twice while it cooks to ensure that the vegetables cook evenly.
  • The mushrooms are done when they have shrunk slightly and look slightly golden and shriveled.

Notes

Leftovers

Leftover air fried mushrooms can be stored in an airtight container in a refrigerator for up to 4 days. The mushrooms taste great, and you can use them as a side dish for a future meal, or as an ingredient in other dishes, like salads, wraps, casseroles or pasta sauces.
