Equipment

  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 6 bagels

Savory toppings

  • bacon
  • hard boiled eggs
  • cream cheese
  • salami
  • sliced cucumber
  • sliced tomatoes
  • smoked salmon

Sweet toppings

  • blueberries
  • peanut butter
  • strawberry jam
  • chocolate spread
  • sliced apples

Instructions

  • Toast the bagels if you wish. Cut them in half, and place them on your chosen board or plate.
  • Prepare any toppings that require cooking, such as bacon and eggs. Toppings such as meat and vegetables should be sliced or chopped into a size that makes them easy to serve. For example, slice tomatoes and cucumbers instead of serving them whole.
  • Then, place the toppings onto the board. Any small items like nuts can be placed in bowls if you want, and the same goes for spreads.
  • If you want to prevent certain ingredients from touching each other, you can use vegetables, herbs or bowls to create small walls between for example meat and fruit.
  • Use fresh herbs and pieces of fruit to create pops of color around the board. You can fold sliced meat or vegetables, or place berries in different shapes to make the board extra appetizing. For example, roll up ham or salami, or make an avocado rose.
  • The bagel charcuterie board will look nicer if it's really full, so make sure that you use a board of the correct size.

Notes

  • Use any bagel toppings that you like! Your bagel board will look nicer if you add a variety of colorful toppings, but make sure to use ingredients you will actually eat.
  • Use bowls or small plates to keep certain ingredients like spreads, berries, nuts, or cheese balls in place.
