  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Baked wings

  • Preheat your oven to 425 F / 220 C / 200 C fan oven.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  • Coat the wings with the salt, pepper, garlic power, honey and 1 tablespoon sriracha. Add baking powder if you want to make the chicken wings crispy.
  • Place on a roasting rack or baking sheet. I like to use a wire rack fitted with a drip tray underneath to make the wings extra crispy.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes. Then, use a pastry brush to brush on the remaining sriracha, and bake for a further 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken wings are done.

Grilled wings

  • Pat and season the wings as directed above.
  • Place on a hot grill, and grill on both sides until the wings are slightly charred and cooked through. This takes about 20-25 minutes.

  • Store leftovers in a refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven, air fryer or microwave.
