- 1 head cabbage
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Cut cabbage into bite sized pieces, or large chunks.
Add water, cabbage, salt, pepper and butter to the Instant Pot. Don't stir.
Seal the lid on the pressure cooker, and select the PRESSURE COOK or MANUAL setting. Set the timer to 5 minutes. The Instant Pot will take around 5 minutes to gain pressure, before the timer starts counting down.
When the cabbage is cooked, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, before you turn the sealing valve to release the pressure according to the manufacturer's instructions. Be careful, as the steam will be hot!
Stir to incorporate the melted butter evenly over the cabbage, and add any additional seasoning to taste. Remove the cabbage from the liquid before serving.
