Baked Italian Sausage
Make the best baked Italian sausage with this very simple method. Italian sausages can be used in a variety of dishes, or paired with different side dishes for a complete meal.
Servings: 6 sausages
- 6 Italian sausages
- ½ teaspoon olive oil (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 F / 180 C / 160 C fan oven.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a silicone baking mat, and place the sausages on top. You can also rub olive oil on a baking sheet if you don't have a baking mat or foil.
Bake the Italian sausages in the oven for about 20-30 minutes, or until golden. For an even cooking result, you can turn the sausages halfway through the cooking time, however this is not necessary.
Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the sausages are 160 F / 71 C. Remove them from the oven, and serve.
- Store leftover sausages in a refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- If you prefer your sausages more cooked, you can add a few more minutes to allow them to develop a deep brown color.
