Bacon Aioli

Creamy, thick bacon aioli is the perfect dip to serve with potato wedges or your favorite snack! A super easy recipe you can make in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (120 ml)
  • ½ lemon (juice only)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 4 strips of bacon

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon crispy using your favorite method. You can use this easy air fryer bacon recipe, cook it in a frying pan, in the oven or under the grill.
  • Meanwhile, chop the garlic into very fine pieces. You can also use a small food processor, or grate the garlic.
  • Leave the bacon to cool down for a few minutes, then chop it finely with a sharp knife. Add the bacon pieces to a bowl along with the other ingredients.
  • Combine all the ingredients, and taste the dip. You can optionally add some more salt, pepper, lemon juice or garlic to taste. Serve the bacon aioli immediately, or store it in a refrigerator until it’s ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use a good quality mayonnaise. Your favorite brand will do fine, or you can make homemade mayo using your favorite recipe.
  • Leave the bacon to cool down for a few minutes before you chop it. It will crisp up nicely as it rests, and it’s much easier to cut through.
  • Garlic is essential in any aioli, but you can omit it if you’re not a fan.
  • The dip can split while it’s resting in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can just simply give it a stir before serving it.
  • You can store leftover aioli in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Give it a little stir before use.
