Strawberry Pineapple Salsa
This strawberry pineapple salsa is a refreshing and healthy side salad or dip. Enjoy it with a light main course such as chicken or fish, or as an appetizer or snack with tortilla chips.
- 200 g strawberries (2 cups)
- 200 g pineapple (2 cups)
- 1 small red onion
- 1 jalapeno
- ½ lime (juice only)
- handful cilantro
Dice the strawberries and pineapple in small pieces, and place them in a bowl. Finely chop the red onion, cilantro and jalapeno, and add these to the fruit. Squeeze the juice from half a lime over the top.
Stir to combine all the ingredients evenly. Serve the strawberry pineapple salsa immediately, or store it in a refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it.
You can store leftover strawberry pineapple salsa in a refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep in mind that fruit tends to taste the best when it’s fresh.
Keep the leftovers in an airtight container. This dish is not suitable for freezing.
